River Prairie Festival is a community event celebrating the 2024 season of programming in River Prairie Park and art in the Chippewa Valley! River Prairie Festival will take place on Mother's Day weekend, attracting visitors to River Prairie with events the whole family can enjoy.

2024 River Prairie Festival Schedule and event layout


River Prairie Center

7:30 - 8:15AM: Birding Walk - One walk, lasting 45 minutes. Walk will meet at the fireplace on the patio of the River Prairie Center.

10:30 - 11:30AM: How to Grow A Giant Pumpkin for Beginners Class presented by Shannon Engel

Noon: Cribbage Tournament - Day of Registration/Check-In begins at noon with the tournament beginning at 12:30PM.

Children’s Activities

Enjoy a variety of children’s activities taking place throughout the day!

  • 10AM - 2PM: Join Pablo Center’s ARTmobile team to create some fun art for the whole family!

  • 10AM - 2PM: Pablo Center’s Robotics Competition Team 8744 will be on Front Porch Place demonstrating what Kermit (their 125lb robot) can do!

  • 11AM - 3PM: Face Painting & Glitter Tattoos taking place on the Front Porch Plaza

  • 11AM - 4PM: Kevin’s Juggling and Balloons in the Forever Garden
